Durability and endurance tests are an important part of the vehicle development. Subsystems or the entire vehicle are stressed under realistic conditions in order to make statements about the durability and reliability. The vehicle's entire life cycle has to be passed. Endurance tests are very time consuming and labor intensive, as test driver must complete thousands of kilometers with the test vehicle to realize the required load profiles.
A majority of the required endurance tests kilometers can be driven automatically and thus unmanned through the use of the VEHICO technologies. The relevant test vehicle is equipped with the necessary VEHICO driving robot systems and the VEHICO CO.DRIVE system ensures that the vehicle for example drives a handling course in 24-hour continuous operation. From a cost and time perspective durability tests can be run much more efficiently.
